Welcome to GeOCHemiSTea
Every geoscientist is capable of understanding geochemical principles, but as with every specialty in the geosciences, geochemical data is nuanced and its interpretation is a niche market inhabited by too few.
GeOCHemISTea's mission to give a leg up to those that want to become indoctrinated into the fold. Also, to give a platform to established geochemists to talk about some of the issues of the day in an informal setting and for the benefit of all geoscientists.
The format is simple:
- Introduction to our guest, who will explain how they got into geochemistry and created a successful career out of it!
- Our guest will spill some tea (i.e. gossip)!
- Our guest and host will talk about a topic in geochemistry selected by the guest. This topic will be grounded by a paper (or a few), which will be shared with the audience prior to the episode airing.

Born in a Bar
The concept of this podcast was born from a bar. Talking with friends and mentors that lamented the lack of a platform where we, geochemists, can talk about the real issues.
